New Year, New Logo as ETL Honors Collaboration in Legal Education Reform

January 6, 2015

It's been almost three-and-a-half years since we launched Educating Tomorrow's Lawyers. From the start, we were committed to supporting law schools and legal educators around the country who were doing innovative work. We built out a Consortium of law schools and a network of legal educators doing important work to improve the way we prepare law students. We featured that work on our website. And we convened the group each year in conferences that allowed them to share successes, failures, and lessons learned along the way.

We are honored to continue to play that role. We are also excited about the ways we have grown. We have undertaken significant research and evaluation projects to advance opportunities for improving legal education nationwide. We have created a one-of-a-kind tool to help prospective students make sense of the employment data published by the American Bar Association. And, critically, we have brought the profession and the academy together to work toward collaborative solutions that will raise not only the institution of legal education, but also the legal profession.

We have been able to do all of the this with the help of a great many people—law professors, deans, lawyers, judges, bar leaders, students, clients—and to honor this collaborative spirit we are pleased to release our new logo, which we'll roll out over the coming weeks. It is an image that, for us, captures the convergence of the many people who will play a role in ensuring that our system of legal education continues to prepare graduates for an evolving profession.

Thank you for everything you do. May it be an uplifting and rewarding 2015.
