Honoring Families is an initiative of IAALS dedicated to advancing empirically informed models to ensure greater accessibility, efficiency, and fairness in divorce and child custody matters. Through comprehensive analysis of existing practices and the collaborative development of recommended models, Honoring Families empowers, encourages, and enables continuous improvement in practices and procedures for divorce and child custody matters.
Developed by the Honoring Families Initiative, the Resource Center for Separating and Divorcing Families is a model for providing interdisciplinary services to separating and divorcing families. On September 3, 2013, the first implementation of the model will debut at the University of Denver. The Center will be the first of its kind in the United States and IAALS will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of its performance during its first three years.
