Author believes American justice system is broken but fixable

CNN's Bill Mears recently interviewed IAALS Executive Director Rebecca Love Kourlis about the challenges facing civil courts, including resource constraints, politicization and inaccessibility.

Kourlis:

The courts are overloaded, they're bogged down, they're politicized, and they're inaccessible. The basic structure is still absolutely right, but the decades of embroidery on top of that basic structure has interfered with the purpose for which the courts were originally created. They don't work for the average citizen and they don't work for business, either.
