Sam Walker was formerly the Global Chief Legal and Corporate Affairs Officer at Molson Coors Brewing Company. He headed the people (HR) and legal functions of the Company, was also the corporate secretary, and part of the seven-member leadership team that operates the Company. He was a founding director of MillerCoors LLC, the Company’s U.S. business owned jointly with SABMiller plc.
Before joining Molson Coors Brewing Company in 2002, Sam was a partner for 10 years at the Washington, D.C., law firm of Wiley Rein & Fielding, LLP, handling trial and non-trial matters.
Sam has held several government posts. From 1989 through 1992, he was an appointee in the administration of President George H.W. Bush. He ran the largest agency in the U.S. Department of Labor, the Employment Standards Administration, and also held a policy appointment at the U.S. Department of Education.
Sam is a graduate of Duke University and Harvard Law School.
