About Gabby Mulnick Majewski

Gabrielle “Gabby” Mulnick Majewski has served as Executive Director of DC Affordable Law Firm since January 2020. In this role, Gabby oversees all aspects of the organization’s programs and operations, leading the staff’s high-quality work, cultivating and expanding community and philanthropic partnerships, strengthening pro bono collaborations, growing the organization’s size and capacity, and guiding DC Affordable Law Firm’s strategic vision and long-term development.

During her six-and-a-half-year tenure, DCALF has evolved into a cornerstone legal services organization with a $5 million budget and a team of more than 34 professionals, playing a pioneering role in expanding access to civil legal services across the District of Columbia for hardworking individuals and families with modest and lower incomes through innovative initiatives, strategic partnerships, and transformative programs within each of the organization’s legal practice areas. Under Gabby’s leadership, DC Affordable Law Firm’s distinctive in-house postgraduate legal fellowship programs—and the organization itself—have received national recognition from the American Bar Association through the Louis M. Brown Award for Legal Access in 2023 and the E. Smythe Gambrell Professionalism Award in 2024.

In 2022, the Washington Business Journal recognized Gabby as one of the DC Metropolitan region’s "40 Under 40" leaders, and in 2023, she received an Honorable Mention for the Excellence in Chief Executive Leadership Award from the Center for Nonprofit Advancement.  Gabby is also a member of the Leadership Greater Washington Class of 2024.

Gabby earned her JD from American University Washington College of Law and graduated with honors from the University of Delaware, where she received bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Criminal Justice with a concentration in Public Law. Prior to joining DC Affordable Law Firm, Gabby spent eleven years at Children’s Law Center in Washington, DC.  She has been a proud DC resident for more than 20 years.
