About Keren Farkas

Keren Farkas is the Chief Access to Justice Officer and Director of Legal Services Programs at the Oregon State Bar. In this role, she supports and oversees multiple initiatives designed to increase access to justice for Oregonians, including efforts to expand access to legal information, free and low-cost legal services, and system-level improvements that promote fairness and equity.

Prior to her current role, Keren held several leadership positions, including leading the Parent Child Representation Program at the Oregon Office of Public Defense Services and serving as Attorney-in-Charge of the Employment and Education Unit at Brooklyn Defender Services in New York City. Earlier in her career, she was a family defense attorney at The Bronx Defenders and a staff attorney at New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, where her work focused on disability justice.

Keren received her JD from New York University School of Law. She also holds a master’s degree in Child Development and Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
