Luis Gomes-Ortega

Luis serves as a Staff Attorney for the Self-Help Center at the Franklin County Municipal Court, where he has spent 2 years assisting self-represented litigants navigate the court system. Common topics that he helps people with daily include landlord/tenant disputes, small claims court, debt collection cases, and record sealing/expungement of criminal records. Luis also brings aid directly to the community by participating in various community events and twice-annual record sealing/expungement clinics.

In 2016, Luis graduated from the Ohio State University with a BS in Mathematics. He subsequently attended the University of Akron School of Law and obtained his JD in 2023 before being sworn in as an attorney in 2024.
