Hollis to Chair the ABA Standing Committee on the Law Library of Congress
Congratulations to IAALS Board of Advisors member Sheila Slocum Hollis on her appointment as the new Chair of the ABA Standing Committee on the Law Library of Congress.
The Standing Committee on the Law Library of Congress serves as the ABA’s “connection to and voice of the legal profession concerning the continued development and effective operation of the Law Library of Congress.” The Committee works to raise awareness of the tools at the Library’s disposal by putting forth efforts in programming, legislative advocacy, research demonstrations, and training workshops, and by reaching out to other ABA groups.
Hollis is Chair of the Washington, D.C., office of Duane Morris LLP, and was the office's founding managing partner. She practices in the areas of energy transactional and regulatory law and international and administrative law before government agencies, Congress, and other entities.
