Elena Harman is the founder and principal consultant at Vantage Evaluation, a firm specializing in helping Colorado nonprofits understand and improve their impact and outcomes. Vantage focuses on providing high quality, customized, and creative evaluation services. Elena has over five years of experience designing and implementing evaluations, supervising evaluation teams, and helping her clients develop their own capacity to use evaluation. Her expertise is in “making data sing” by analyzing existing and new data sources in a way that clients can clearly understand and act upon.
Prior to launching Vantage Evaluation, Elena was an Evaluation Associate at the Colorado Health Foundation, where she helped launch the Foundation’s Measurable Results model, a nationally recognized approach to collective impact and shared measurement. In addition, she has managed several large evaluation projects in areas such as health promotion, policy advocacy, international development, staff training, higher education, legal education, and pregnancy prevention.
Elena is an active member of the American Evaluation Association, the Colorado Evaluators Network, the Colorado Nonprofit Association, and the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. Elena holds a Bachelors degree in Brain and Cognitive Sciences, with a minor in Political Science, from M.I.T., a Masters degree in Evaluation and Applied Research Methods from Claremont Graduate University, and is finishing a Ph.D. in the same field.
