Nebraska Group Challenges Retention of Judges Over Custody Rulings
A group known as The Do Good Dads Against Unjust Judges is challenging the retention of three local judges. The group takes issue with the judges’ rulings in cases involving child custody, adoptions, and child abuse, among others. The group is also pursuing legislative changes and better training for attorneys who handle custody cases.

Nebraska: Area judges receive positive ratings
The Nebraska State Bar Association’s 2012 Judicial Performance Evaluation results have been released, showing positive ratings for judges across the state, and the Bar has developed a radio spot to draw attention to this resource for voters. Nebraska uses the “Missouri Plan” for selecting judges and after appointment judges serve an initial term of three years before standing for a retention vote.
