Lawyers in D.C. to Lobby White House, Hill on Judicial Vacancies
May 8, 2012
Confirmation of judicial nominees has been a contentious issue this year, and on May 7, 2012, lawyers, legal experts, and advocacy groups met with the White House to discuss judicial vacancies and the confirmation process. In a written statement, the collation of advocacy groups behind the event warned: “This vacancy crisis, which has left 250 million Americans living in communities with unstaffed federal courtrooms, must end.”
