Women Judges Make History on California Federal Court

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California has made history by being the first major federal courthouse in the country to have an all-woman bench. And five of the six judges are women of color. Some speculate that greater diversity among judges will lead to greater diversity among the attorneys who appear them and send a message that “all litigants are on equal footing.”
