District of Colorado Proposed Amendments May Foretell of Pilot Projects

The United States District Court for the District of Colorado announced proposed amendments to its Local Rules on March 7, 2013. The proposed amendments are few, but include an amendment to D.C.COLO.LCivR 1.1 to include a section on "Pilot Programs or Special Projects," which may be "authorized by the court following reasonable public notice and opportunity for public comment." Similar language is proposed for D.C.COLO.LCrR 1.1 and D.C.COLO.LAPR 1.1. Comments must be submitted no later than April 8, 2013. While the proposed amendments are brief, they may foretell of pilot programs or other special projects in the District of Colorado's future.
