Nick Catanzarite earned his JD, along with an MA in International Studies, from the University of Denver in November 2011. He was admitted to the Colorado Bar in May of 2012 and soon after joined Peters Mair Wilcox. In January 2015, Catanzarite was appointed to the Grand County Court bench in the Fourteenth Judicial District.
Before beginning his legal career Nick earned a B.A. in philosophy from Michigan State University. He also spent 8 years as a member of the United States Disabled Ski Team. He is a three time Paralympian, competing in the Salt Lake City Winter Games in 2002, Torino 2006, and Vancouver 2010. He was awarded the Willy Schaeffler Scholarship for a disabled scholar athlete to attend the University of Denver from 2007-2011. During his law school career, Judge Catanzarite worked at DU’s renowned Civil Rights legal clinic as a student attorney.
