On February 3, 2021, IAALS hosted a webinar featuring Christine Miller of Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and Lollie Roberts of the Superior Court of California, County of Sacramento, who discussed how their respective organizations successfully kept the public up to date on the changes they were making in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On December 9, IAALS co-hosted a virtual discussion with Dan Rodriguez, former dean of Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, on why our balkanized system of professional regulation makes it much more difficult to meet the demand for legal services, and how states can join together and offer more legal services to those in need without opening up the public to the risk of harm.

Each year, IAALS recognizes individuals and groups who exemplify the spirit of innovation and leadership that we champion as we work toward building a legal system that is accessible, fair, reliable, and accountable. For the first time ever, this event was held virtually, and was also free and open to the public—making it more accessible to a national audience than ever before.
This virtual event was held on Friday, September 25, recognizing you! We celebrated friends and supporters of IAALS with a special hour-long program, including a thank-you video featuring staff and donors, a fireside chat, and the unveiling of a special recognition plaque.
